USBDLM V5.6.1 - USB Drive Letter Manager for Windows
No matter what users access, USBDLM V5.6.1 is a Windows service that controls USB drive letter work. It assigns new default letters, fixes USB and network drive conflicts, and provides a plethora of customization options based on multiple criteria. Compatible with Windows XP through Windows 11 and Server 2003 through 2022, it resolves common problems like network share conflicts resulting in invisible drives. The USBDLM.ZIP file must be unzipped, the USBDLM.INI file must be configured, and the service must be registered. The most recent version of USBDLM contains bug fixes as well as new features like improved drive letter criteria for VHD containers and Half-Dark mode.

How to use it?
- Unzip USBDLM.ZIP to "C:\Program Files(X86)" (includes a USBDLM folder).
- Execute _edit-ini.cmd to create/open the USBDLM.INI configuration file.
- Register and start USBDLM as a Windows service by executing _service_register.cmd.
- Change USBDLM.INI settings without restarting the service (checked on each drive attachment).
- Deregister the service using _service_deregister.cmd.
- Use USBDLM command-line parameters for silent registration/deregistration:
USBDLM -silentregister
USBDLM -silentderegister
- Returns Errorlevel 0 on success, 1 on failure.
- Stop and start the service with _service_stop.cmd and _service_start.cmd, or use "net stop USBDLM" / "net start USBDLM".
