BMT MediaTek Tool v1.3 Review – Dead Project or Still Working?
Today I am sharing my personal review about BMT MediaTek Tool v1.3.
Honestly, this tool gave me one of the weirdest experiences 😅
The developer released this version recently, but after checking everything deeply, I feel this project is almost dead now. No proper updates, no bug fixes, and many users already complained about errors inside the tool. I also faced many issues while checking it.
One thing I seriously want to ask the developer:
If the same features are already available in many open source tools, then why should users pay money for this tool? 🤔
Because after checking all things, I personally feel this tool service is very poor and not worth buying.
First Look & Interface Experience
When I opened the tool for the first time, the interface immediately reminded me of another famous MTK tool called iReverse MTK Tool.
Honestly, it looks almost like a copy-paste style interface with some extra DA files and auth files added inside. Nothing fresh or special.
The UI is simple, but the whole project feels rushed and unfinished.
I also checked many viral comments and user reviews online. Most users were saying the same thing:
- Random errors
- Login issues
- Slow response
- No proper support
- Tool freezing problems
And after my own testing, I can understand why users are angry 😅
Security Check – This Part Shocked Me 😳
Now this was the most interesting part for me.
Before using any servicing tool, I always check how the program works internally. So first I checked the working mechanism and security side of this tool.
The tool is protected with Xerin protection.
It runs like a single portable EXE file, but during runtime it silently creates and uses folders inside Windows system directories.
And here comes the dangerous part…
Because it works from Windows internal folders, many antivirus programs do not show warnings properly. No popup, no strong alert, nothing.
So normal users may think everything is safe.
But during my checking, I noticed something very suspicious 👀
The tool has Telegram bot integration inside it.
When the tool runs, some user information can be sent through the bot system to a private Telegram username.
That honestly made me uncomfortable.
I am not saying every information is dangerous, but still users should be careful before using unknown servicing tools on their main PC.
What I Did After Finding This
After checking all these hidden things, I decided to block the suspicious activities myself 😎
So I bypassed the hidden tempering and security checks made by the original developer.
Now:
- Login works easily
- Any username/password can be used
- Future forced updates are blocked
- Telegram bot communication is blocked
- Information sending activity is disabled
I also added extra advanced protection from my side so the tool cannot send background information anymore.
Real Device Working Test
Now the main question…
Is the tool actually working or not? 🤔
Surprisingly… yes 😅
Even though the project quality is bad, many operations are still working properly.
I checked different YouTube testing videos and some real working reports.
Mainly these operations are working:
- BROM operations
- Preloader operations
- FRP reset
- Data wipe
- Bootloader functions
And even January security patch devices were working in some cases.
So functionality side is still alive somehow 😂

My Final Opinion
Personally, I do not recommend buying this type of tool.
Why?
- Bad service
- No proper updates
- Poor security trust
- Many errors
- Feels copied
- Developer support almost dead
But…
If you already have access and only need basic MTK operations, then yes, some functions are still working fine 😅
So this tool is basically:
“Working somehow… but professionally maintained? Absolutely not 😂”
