How to Record Video for YouTube using Microsoft PowerPoint Secrets
it is asking me to select the area of the screen I want to record because I want to record the whole screen I will just select the whole screen you can select the part of the screen as well here are few buttons here so if I click on record it will start recording this is to stop the recording I can use the short key windows + Shift + Q to stop the recording as well this is to select an area for recording this is if you want to enable audio while recording the screen I will disable it because otherwise, it will be duplicate this is if you want to record the pointer so if you don't want to record the mouse movement you can disable this as well I will not pin this to the dock unless I'm not recording the whole screen otherwise it will come in the screen recording if I'm doing a session of the screen recording and this is not part of that
I can just pin ithere to easily access these icons I will unpin that before I start recording Iwant to bring in the browser which I want to record I want to record thisoffice365 landing page and how you can see different applications here andnavigate to different applications so to record that I will click on record now inthree-second recording is now started you can navigate to any of theseapplication so once you're done with your recording you can either pause itif you want to take a break or you can stop recording so in this case I'm doneI will stop recording now straight away you can see the recording is availablewithin PowerPoint presentation now I can use this recording as it is or I canimprove this bit further so if I select this recording and from the top if Iclick on format now you can see you can play thisrecording you can apply the brightness to this recording you can make it talkor make it more bright it depends how you want it I will just undo this youcan change the color you can make it black and white for example you canapply a poster frame so this is the frame which will be placed before yourrecording starts so if I click on image from file I will get a picture online soI will just take the offer 365 picture and put it as a poster
so this is the poster image for the recording you can reset it if you want and you can apply some other frames to the recording on the right-hand side you can also crop this recording so if you want if you recorded a full screen but then you want a part of the screen to be presented you can crop the screen recording as well if I go to the playback tab you can add any bookmark into recording so maybe at this point I want to add a bookmark you can add a bookmark. you can remove them if you don't need them you can trim the video you can maybe say okay the starting was not great you can just drag it and trim it drag from the right and trim on the right-hand side as well and say okay so now this will trim your recording and exclude the parts which you don't need the other thing is that start "In Click sequence" so before I make any changes to this one I want to show you the slideshow so if I click on slideshow now so the video there but it doesn't start automatically
I will to end screen show to start thevideo automatically I need to change this to automatically and if you want toloop it that if the videos finish you keep looping until you go to next screenyou just check that as well now if I go to the slide show you can see the videois started automatically just pause and end show now as Isaid before you can either keep this video embedded in your PowerPointpresentation or you can take this video extract it in a video file which you canprobably later on upload to YouTube channel for example if you have ayoutube tutorial channel you can do the screen grab and then do the editing ifyou're using any other software and then you can upload into your YouTube channelto convert this PowerPoint slide video into a video file click on the file tabscroll down here you see the option to export click export now you see fewdifferent options I am only interested in create a video click on that now youcan see the video option is available and you can keep it as full HD or youcan change it to Ultra HD it depends how you want it then once all the settingsare done you click on create video now
this will ask me where you want to store your video and give your video a name I will call it presentation test there are two different types you can save it as MPEG-4 or window media video format I will just keep it MPEG-4 and hit save now you can see that the file is there but if you hover over it you can see the size zero byte which means the PowerPoint is currently extracting this video file if I right-click on the file and go to properties it is zero bytes from the PowerPointpresentation if I try to close this
I will get a warning message that this presentation is currently being exported to video closing this presentation will abort all pending exports of this presentation do you want to close no-sew until unless you see the video is available there you should never close the PowerPoint presentation now I can see the side of the video is 13.9 MB and the video icon is changed as well this video is now exported
