Canon Service Tool V3400 can perform service adjustments and reset procedures with the absorbent ink counter. To reset the waste ink absorber counters, you must use the V3400 service tool in Windows XP or under another Windows operating system in compatibility mode.

Canon Service tool v3400 Free Download. After changing parts such as ink absorbents, print heads, and printer mainboards, Canon Service Tool is used to service and reset Canon printers. Based on the various cases we’ve seen, the Service Tool is most often used to reset the waste ink counter value when the waste ink absorber is full. When the waste ink absorber reaches capacity, it must be replaced or cleaned. Once the waste ink absorber has been replaced or cleaned, the repairs proceed by resetting the waste ink counter value. The Service Tool may be used to reset the waste ink counter value.

How To Use?

1. Download Canon Service Tool V3400
2. Set the printer to Service Mode 
3. Run the Service Tool V3400.exe program
4. Select the connected USB port number from the USB PORT
5. In the Ink Absorber Counter section of the Service Tool, select MAIN from the Absorber pull-down menu.
6. From the Counter Value (%) pull-down menu, select the value (in 10% increments) which is the closest to the actual counter value confirmed before the replacement of the logic board and click SET. 
7. Print EEPROM information to confirm that the value is properly set to the EEPROM.
